These hideous Winter Olympics uniforms have sent the internet into a frenzy

They’re just Sochi-c.

THE 2014 WINTER Olympic Games have been making waves on the internet this week, but not for the reasons you might expect.

The teams taking part have been revealing what they’ll be wearing in Sochi, Russia, and the world can’t help wondering if they’re intentionally committing crimes against fashion?

Norway – who rocked some seriously slick patterned trousers last time they got down to business at the games – kicked the Twitter frenzy off with these snazzy suits.

They’re quite frankly hypnotic and if we didn’t know better we’d swear they were just trying to blind the competition.

The internet can forgive the lads though because wearing terrific trousers is actually their thing and they pull off the look with relative ease.

If only the same could be said for this lot.

Team USA will be wrapped up to the nines in a rather divisive Ralph Lauren get up for the Opening Ceremony.

Some people love what the fashion designer’s done with the ensemble.

Others… not so much.

Meanwhile, the Japanese are playing it safe with some old school uniforms. Even the athletes themselves look like they know they could have done something better with those blazers.

Like the Czech ski jumpers, who accessorised their bright white jackets with warm fluffy hats that seem a little too familiar…

You know you’ve got a white puffer jacket and a hat just like that one lurking somewhere in the back of the wardrobe. Sure t’was less than €20 for the whole thing. Bargain.

The games don’t kick off until Friday February 7th but when it comes to the fashion stakes we’re already giving Norway ALL of the gold.
