IT WAS SOME evening of U-21 action last night.
A late long-range point from Wexford midfielder Michael O’Regan sealed a first-ever Leinster crown at the grade for Wexford.
Longford were left heartbroken at the 1-9 to 0-11 defeat, as they were denied a little bit of history fo their own at Portlaoise.
In Ulster, Tyrone marched through to the provincial decider after John McCullagh hit a stoppage-time winner at Brewster Park. Monaghan lost out 0-11 to 1-7.
On Leeside meanwhile, archrivals Cork and Kerry met in the Munster finale. And what a night it was for the home crowd.
