Disgraceful performance against such weak opposition.
Null and void of attacking ideas.
Really poor show!! -
How Brady can justify that performance uknow where his loyalties lie – it was written all over his face-
And John giles tryin to stay between the lines with it won’t come out and say whatever is thinking and trap
All about the result my arse- all he didn’t say was how dare u question my authority as manager – just leave will ya -
we were very lucky tonight. it could have been a total disaster

Jesus Christ, I’d rather watch ducks in a pond… With the players available we should be giving it a go at least. I’d rather lose a match showing a bit of gusto and flare than watch a qualifying campaign full of that shite. Trap, thanks, but you’re grand..now cheerio

I could not agree more with this comment. For the first time in 30 years I didn’t bother to watch Ireland because they are so dull. Actually I think ducks is too good. I would rather get a big auld bucket of paint, fxxk it against a wall and watch it dry.

Hi Irish Red,
We did a separate story on that. Here’s the link: http://jrnl.ie/588588

Erm, not to sure about the Paralympics one. Bit disrespectful to those great athletes. Even if was a comment from a young child, she’s not the one who decided to publish it.

why did ronnie whelan insist on picking a “man of the match”?
radical change needed.

Good job the clueless euros supporters weren’t there or they’d have got a standing ovation and a 30 min version of fields of Athenry
-
I think you fail to understand why people sung at the Euro’s. It was out of love for Ireland, not because of the performance of the team. They weren’t singing “you’ll never beat the Irish”, they sung a song about heart break at facing a hopeless situation, pretty fitting if you ask me.
As for tonight, terrible. The fact that we won is immaterial considering the performance. I can hear people calling for Traps head and I can say nothing to them tonight after that performance AND strategy
-
Ian I understand perfectly you just have a different opinion as to why the Irish sang when the national team were being played off the pitch…it was idiotic to me and please don’t give me the love of Ireland drivel…I’ve been to plenty of Irish away matches but the supporters at the euros we’re bandwagon idiots that switched away from Santa ponsa for a Year

In my opinion the Irish team should be lining out with , Westwood rb.kelly/coleman cb. O Shea and dunne lb.ward/Cunningham rm. mcgeady cm.(and this is where I’m going to be slated) Gibson and Doyle lm.mclean fw. Long Walters, we need Gibson back in the squad badly but even if he does come back trap will let him rot on the bench
-
if it was the world cup final and we came back and won 2-1 would we still be reading comments like this. At this stage result is all that matters. New squad, all the greats have bailed out, will take time. Borat land were unbeaten in their last 4 at home
-
Rubbish rubbish rubbish that’s what your comment and how the team played last night is, there has been very little change since duff and given retired instead of using James McLean he puts Simon cox on the wing what the hell is he playing at, it’s a joke there is so many young players like Greg cunningham seamus Coleman robbie Brady who should be starting never mind being in the squad, I’ve supported trap up til last night but now he has to go we would be better off with Richie saidler in charge
