This is the most awkward first date we’ve ever seen…

If you’re taking a girl to a game, don’t write a giant sign telling the TV directors.

WHEN A NETWORK crew has to broadcast more than 150 games in a baseball season, sometimes they have to get creative to fill three hours.

Such was the case last night in Arizona.

In the 8th inning, the Diamondbacks were losing 6-0 to the St. Louis Cardinals. Things weren’t going well for the home team, and it was late. The perfect combination for a broadcast to take a left turn.

That’s when the TV crew spotted a couple holding a sign indicating that it was their first date.

That’s when things got awkward.

This is the most awkward first date we’ve ever seen…

She says 'Yes'! Although it was more like the 'oh my god, I better say yes because I'm TV, and I can't believe this idiot put me on the spot'

The last we see of the couple, the TV crew offers them four tickets, yes four, to Saturday's game for their second date. The heart graphic was a nice touch.
