CATALAN SPORTS CHANNEL E-Sport 3 is reporting that Barcelona boss Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino is to leave the club at the end of this season.

The station has claimed Martino has informed some of his closest colleagues that he will leave Barca once the season concludes in May. His two-year contract with the Spanish champions has a clause that should see no financial penalties incurred, or hindrances offered, if he leaves after one season.

The manager has been reportedly reluctant to talk about his future but E-Sport 3 believes many in his inner circle are aware of the decision. It adds that although no announcement has been made to staff Martino’s plans to leave are ‘common knowledge’ among the Barca players.

Martino has been linked to the Argentina job and may take the reins from Alejandro Sabella after this summer’s World Cup in Brazil. The Argentine was on the bench for his team’s 7-0 league win over Osasuna on sunday.
