BRAD JONES remembered his late son in the aftermath of Liverpool’s dramatic win at Ewood Park last night.

The Australian goalkeeper was called upon in the first half after Doni had been shown a straight red, and saved a penalty from former team-mate Yakubu with his very first touch.

Jones himself later conceded a spot-kick but pulled off a couple of crucial saves before Andy Carroll claimed victory for the Reds with an injury-time header.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 30-year-old, who is likely to start against Everton in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend, dedicated the win to Luca, who died from leukemia aged five last November.

The supporters have been brilliant,” Jones said. “It’s been a difficult 18 months with my son passing away. That was for him.”
