RIVER PLATE SUPPORTERS are renowned for their passion, and the image above shows why.

On Monday, they carried what is now officially the world’s biggest flag at 7,829 metres in length, through a street in Buenos Aires.

Consequently, their place in the Guinness Book of World Records has been sealed.
