THE CHELSEA STRIKER was given his marching orders from referee Mark Clattenburg, despite the fact that Jonny Evans admitted making slight contact with Torres on his way through to goal.
The Spaniard had received his first booking for a dangerously high tackle on Tom Cleverley at the end of the first half.
We’re wondering if you think Torres should have seen red, given the contact with Evans but the fact that his challenge on Cleverley was excessive.

Soccer has for a long time now been seen as a game for which human error is a treasured part of the entertainment. I for one think its ruining the game. That’s two high profile matches today in which referee blunders directly impacted the results of the match. Isn’t it about time we integrated playback technology like most other sports do?
As regards Hernandez, A) He was moving backwards, B) Doing so very quickly and C) No official would be able to correctly call that decision 100% of the time it was that tight. Factor in everything else, it’s a nigh on impossible decision; it only looks easy with a slo mo replay!
Disgraceful decision, there was contact, Torres had every right to go down, Mancs only crying about 1st yellow now. If it was a red for Ivanovic it should have been a red for Evans, double standards yet again. Completely ruining the game. As for Hernandez, a man with 5% vision could have told you he was off.
How so? Ivanovo was last man with no one covering, Ferdinand was sweeping up behind Evans, if you find in favour of Torres it’s a yellow surely? As for Hernandez it’s a poor decision, but by the linesman who couldn’t see him as he was his behind Cech, the referee couldn’t give it as he was looking at it straight on and so can’t perceive depth.
Should have gone for the first challenge. Utd players actually didn’t make as much of it as the Chelsea players would have if the roles were reversed. Not as simple as saying ‘by sending Torres off the ref ruined the game’, they were already down to 10 and the Hernandez goal was not a decision the ref could have made.

Both would have finished with different scorelines.
