THE OPENING STAGES of this year’s Giro d’Italia have been quite eventful for Mark Cavendish.
The Manx cyclist has already bagged two of the opening five stages, his wins coming either side of a rather nasty crash on Monday’s flat stage in Herning, Denmark.
The pictures of Cav’s leg looked pretty nasty as he dragged himself across the finish line on Monday and, to be perfectly honest, they haven’t really improved since.
