David O’Sullivan was top scorer in the Airtricity First Division with 21 goals

A second place finish meant a playoff with Bray Wanderers. Longford lost 5-4 on aggregate but Tony Cousins is staying on to push for promotion in 2014

*Two other highlights we have been kindly reminded of: Longford Rugby Club reached the final of the Provincial Towns Cup after an 80 year gap and the Longford VEC team won the Leinster inter-county title.
