RESULT: Dublin 4-14 Clare 2-17

14.24Clare 2-14 Dublin 2-9: 41 mins – Huge boost for Clare as they find the net for the second time in the game. Substitute Conor Deasy does the spade work in winning possession and when he feeds Shane O’Donnell, the Eire Og Ennis attacker shows great determination to burst through and unleash a drive to the top corner. Bizarrely the ball goes through the net but the goal stands and Clare are now in a healthy position. Dublin change sees Donal Gormley on for Sean Treacy.

14.32Clare 2-14 Dublin 2-11: 48 mins – Huge chance for Dublin to find the net after Oisin O’Rorke is fouled and a penalty is awarded but Sean McClelland’s low drive is deflected away by corner-back Gearoid Ryan on the line for Clare. Paul Winters fires over the resultant ’65 but that could be a major turning point.
