Gediminas Bagdonas hangs on to the yellow jersey as Martyn Irvine claims today’s penultimate stage.

NEWTOWNARDS MAN MARTYN IRVINE (Asia Giant Kenda Cycling) claimed today’s penultimate stage as the An Post Rás left Tramore and travelled to Kildare.

Overall leader Gediminas Bagdonas (An Post Sean Kelly) retains the yellow jersey after he was awarded the same time as the peleton when he sustained a puncture less than a mile from the finish line.

Anatoliy Pakhtusov (Ukraine ISD-Lampre) remains 32 seconds behind him in second place.
