HARRY REDKNAPP HAS stepped down as Tottenham manager, according to reports.

Redknapp vehemently denied reports that he had left his post as recently as last night.

However, recent contract negotiations between Redknapp and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy are understood to have broken down, after the pair met on Wednesday.

A severance package is reportedly being discussed, with a formal announcement on the decision set to be made this Thursday.

Redknapp led Tottenham to a fourth-place finish in the Premier League last term, but the club missed out on the all-important Champions League spot following Chelsea’s triumph in the latter competition.
