Google

Provides a wide range of internet services, primarily a search engine. Google was founded by the "Google guys" Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998 when they were both Ph.D students at Stanford. The company employs 22,000 people and profited $6.5 billion in 2009. Google generates most of its profit from advertising.
