LONDON IRISH ENJOYED a comfortable 34 point win over their Premiership rival’s Gloucester this weekend.

However, despite the home side running in six tries and the visitors responding with two of their own through fullback Tom Voyce, the game will be remembered for the brawl that broke out seven minutes in to the second half.

The fight, which at one stage involved all 30 players and some substitutes, started when Gloucester captain Hamilton and Irish hooker Paice were shown yellow cards for exchanging punches.

The two continued their disagreement  as they walked towards the sidelines and the situation soon escalated very quickly.

The brawl left Paice needing 12 stitches in his head and could result in Hamilton being banned from Scotland’s summer tour of the southern hemisphere.

The 6’10″ lock will learn his punishment at a disciplinary hearing this Thursday.
