DUNDALK’S MISERABLE AIRTRICITY League form continued at The Brandywell tonight, as they were beaten 4-0 by Derry City.

David McDaid gave the hosts the lead after half an hour, meeting Simon Madden’s cross with an opportunistic finish.

Derry then doubled their advantage just after half-time, when Patrick McEleney beat goalkeeper Peter Cherrie after a bustling run.

Ryan Curran effectively ended any doubts about the outcome of the match on 82 minutes, when he took full advantage after being set up by Madden, blasting home from a difficult angle.

Dermot McCaffrey subsequently put the icing on the cake just before injury time, when he headed in from Barry McNamee’s free-kick delivery.
