CORK’S BEN O’CONNOR has called time on his intercounty career.

The Newtownshandrum man captained the Rebels to All-Ireland glory in 2004, as well as winning two other Celtic Crosses.

O’Connor is the latest in the Rebels veteran crop of players to call it a day; he follows twin brother, Jerry, who hung up his boots last year.
