CORK GO INTO tomorrow’s TG4 ladies senior championship semi-final as marked favourites against Monaghan.
The position will be down in no small part to their utter superiority over Donegal in the quarter-final stages.
Unlike their male counterparts, the Rebelettes dismantled Donegal time and again to run out 8-27 to 0-2 victors.
Tomorrow, against a much sterner test, they will again turn to Nollaig Cleary (pictured) and Valerie Mulcahy to provide the scores.
Monaghan lost to the All Ireland final to Cork last year. However. they have already proven a side good enough to overcome the hurdle having beaten the Leesiders in the national league final.
The Farney women will look to Cathriona McConnell for inspiration on the scoreboard, her tally of 3-3 in the semi-final win over Mayo was more than the difference between the sides.
