Connacht beaten by Quins at the Stoop

Heineken Cup newcomers lose out to the in-form Guinnes Premiership side.

CONNACHT MADE A losing start to life in the Heineken Cup tonight.

The westerners were beaten by an in-form Harlequins side by a scoreline of 25-17.

Two Nick Evens penalties earned the win for the home side after Gavin Duffy had put the Irish province within touching distance of an unlikely win.

    Sounds like a very good performance from Connaught given their standing here and that the opposition are unbeaten in the premiership in England.

  • If Connacht had retained Carr,Keatley and Hagan you never know what they could have achieved last night.now there just sitting on the benches of the other provinces instead of playin 80 mins of Heineken cup
