WE’VE ALL BEEN there. Truth be told, most of us have been there more than once in a round.
You’re not having the best day on the golf course but suddenly you manage to work a three-footer for birdie and a chance to steady the ship.
You hit it a little bit too firmly and it lips out. Ain’t that just the way? At least you have an easy putt back for par, right?
Nope. That lips out as well.
Knock it in with the back of the putter for a bad, bad bogey? Nope, that misses too.
At least when these things happen to your average Joe out on the course, there isn’t a worldwide TV audience watching. Thank you Charl Schwartzel for making us all feel a little bit better this Monday morning.
