POLICE IN POLAND say the body found by authorities in the search for missing Irish man James Nolan has not yet been formally identified.
The man’s body was discovered in a river in the city of Bydgoszcz, where 21-year-old James was last seen early on Sunday morning, and has been recovered from the water.
A spokesperson for the Bydgoszcz prosecutor’s office confirmed that documents, money and a mobile phone were found on the body. He said that it was still too early to identify the person.
A police spokesperson told TheJournal.ie this evening that it is still “too early” and that no formal identification will be made until the body has been identified by relatives.
The family of James Nolan are expected to arrive in Bydgoszcz this evening.
